Let’s make friends with your serger! Join us as we explore the vast amount of creativity and build your serging skills over the course of 8 sessions.

You will learn –

· new techniques

· discover the feet and how they work

· the stitches you can make

· learn about threads, and

· make a project every week

We will create a Serger Stitch Book for your reference. It’s going to be a fun and exciting time full of discovery! Come join us.

Class Day Discount: Quilters HQ offers a 15% discount on class days for all your needs, including fabric.

Week 1: Cut three 16” squares of cotton fabric or three 12” squares
Week 2: 1–1¼ yd of fleece fabric, additional 2 cones of stretch thread
Week 3: 14 strips of cotton (18”x5”), 7 pieces low-loft batting (18”x5”), 2 cones stretch thread
Week 4: Scraps of knit/woven fabric for flatlock practice, batting for “quilt-as-you-go”
Week 5: ½ yd medium-heavy cotton, scraps of slick fabric, hook & loop tape (1” wide, 3 pcs @ 2”), 12” boning (1”), scraps for blind hem casing sample
Week 6: Ruffle Pillowcase: 2 pcs cotton (21”x28”), 1 pc (3.5”x88”), Gathering Foot
Week 7: 2 zippers (14”+), one for sample book, one for bag. Pre-cut bag & lining (7”x7” and 7”x11”), Piping/Cording Foot
Week 8: Beading Foot, taffeta/organza/voile (7”x23”), 1 yd of ?” ribbon, string of beads (must fit foot channel)
