Have you ever seen a quilt that you oohed and aahed over the quilting? Come and learn these skills so you can be a part of the oohed and aahed community.

· Quilting your own quilt can be intimidating to both experienced and beginning quilters. The Westalee quilt rulers are a great tool to quilt on your own, but these tools do have a learning curve.

Required:
- Westalee Design Ruler Work Kit
OR
- Ruler Foot Starter Set (ruler foot, 12” Arc).
- Westalee Design Sampler Set 1 (6 templates)
- 8.5” 8-point Crosshair Grid
- Westalee Design Spacing gauge.
- All of these items and more are included in the Westalee Design Ruler Work Kit for less money
- Sewing Machine in good working order, manual, power cord, and foot pedal.
- Sewing Machine must be able to drop-feed dogs. Needle down feature a plus.
Ruler foot-many machines have a ruler foot designed for that specific machine. A ruler foot is round with the needle position in the center and does not hop. Check with your dealer.
- Eight 14”x14” quilt sandwiches (fabric, batting, fabric) solid or near solid fabrics are best.
- Chalk-o-liner, narrow chalk pen, or friXon erasable markers
- Thread: 50 or 60-weight polyester thread ( I like Glide) a shade or two. Darker than your fabrics.
- Clear scotch tape ½” wide
- 12 1/2” Centering Ruler (Sew Biz-Donelle Mc Adams) preferred or a narrow 14”–18” inch ruler you use with your rotary cutter.
- 90/14 sewing machine needle
- Scissors
- Self-threading hand-sewing needles
Before Class:
- Best Press and iron your top layers twice.
