Quilting 101



Have fun learning the basics of quilting. Learn 9 different blocks and how to assemble them in five weeks. We will discuss fabric tips, understanding a quilt pattern, rotary cutting, seam allowance, block assembly, borders, and bindings. If you’ve always wanted to quilt this is the class for you. Finished size 24” x 43”

Requirements: Equipment - Sewing machine, power cord, foot pedal, manual, thread, needles, bobbins - Basic Sewing Supplies – scissors, pins/clips, rotary cutter, seam ripper, thread clippers - 12”x 6” ruler - Walking foot, optional Supplies - Book: Quilt Block Genius 2nd edition (available at QHQ) - Fabric – ½ yard of 4 fabrics; 1/4 yard of 2 fabrics, ½ yard for border (2 ½” wide) - Backing: 1 yard - Batting: 1 yard
