Feather Quilted Wall Quilt by Jo Jacobi

If you choose this option, you will create a 27” square of fabric and mark the grid with a fabric marker. You will also need a 27” square of batting and backing. The outer edges of the piece are trimmed to size after the quilting is completed.

Supplies:

Required: (available at Quilters HQ)

Westalee by Sew Steady templates: Design set of 5 Leaf or Feathered Leaf templates

Optional:

10” Feather Spine
Spin-e-fex Feather 8
Circle Wreath Feathered Leaf Set of 2 templates

Sewing machine, power cord, foot pedal, manual
6”x12” ruler
Thread that coordinates with fabric
Basic sewing supplies (i.e. heat erasable fabric marker, fabric scissors, pins/clips, needle, seam ripper, rotary cutter, pencil/pen, etc.)

Fabric (If not doing the whole cloth as described above)

1/2-yard color A-darker cotton fabric
Cut One:12.5 square. And. Four 7.5” X 7.5” squares
1/2-yard color B-Lighter cotton fabric
Cut Four 12.5’ X 7.5” rectangle
3/4-yard backing cut into a 27” square
1/4-yard coordinating fabric for binding
27” square of low loft batting

Handy to bring:

Small iron and pressing mat

Starch spray and water spray
