Techniques you will learn

It can be overwhelming to organize a kit with 67 colors and hundreds of pieces — learn a simple organization technique.
Build an organization system that makes your project totally transportable (perfect for sew days and retreats).
Foundation paper piecing: while these kits look complex, they really aren’t — you’ll leave class with the skills to finish your project.

What to bring

Equipment

Sewing machine, power cord, foot pedal, manual
Needles and bobbins
Basic sewing supplies (scissors, pins/clips, marker, seam ripper, thread clippers)
45mm rotary cutter (new sharp blade) and rotary cutting mat
6" x 12" ruler with 1/4" markings
Clapper (any size)
Binding clips
Add-A-Quarter Ruler (a must) — 12"

Single-sided copy of the newsprint portion of the kit
Drawer organizer box of plastic bags (available online, HyVee, Dollar Tree, and more) — approximately $6.50
Lunch and beverage
Aurifil 50 wt — Aluminum

How do I get my Legit Kit?

Go to legitkits.com, look at the quilts, and decide which one you want to make.
When you register for the class, you will receive a coupon code that gives you a discount on your kit.
Go back to legitkits.com, select the quilt you want, and order using the coupon code.
As soon as your kit arrives, copy the newsprint pages single-sided. This is your pattern.

Tip: Don’t wait to order — give yourself time for shipping and printing your single-sided pattern pages.
