Make a cozy, warm quilt with no quilting and no binding using soft flannel.

Have you ever wanted a cozy, warm, and easy-to-make quilt? In this class, you will use flannel to create a soft rag quilt that is finished as you piece it.

No quilting and no binding required. This is a fun and satisfying project where you can walk away with a finished quilt or be very close by the end of class.

A perfect next step after Quilting 101 and a great way to complete a quilt in just one class.

What you will learn

How to stitch a quilt sandwich as you go
How to piece using a larger seam allowance with seams on top
How to clip seams to create the rag quilt texture after washing

What to bring

Equipment to bring

Sewing machine in good working order
Manual, power cord, and foot pedal
Rotary cutter and mat
Sturdy scissors for clipping seams
Thread snips or small scissors
Pins and sewing machine needles
24” x 8” ruler (minimum)

Supplies to bring

1 2/3 yards each of two flannel prints OR 3 1/3 yards total
35 batting squares (6” each)
Coordinating thread

Important

DO NOT pre-wash fabric or batting before class.
