Brett Lewis

Brett Lewis is a Canadian quilter and fabric designer whose passion for color, nature, and artistic expression has shaped his distinctive quilting style. Growing up on a hobby farm in Summerland, British Columbia, Brett developed a deep appreciation for the earth's diverse flora and fauna, which continues to influence his designs today.

After receiving a baby quilt as a gift, Brett was inspired to explore quilting, and he purchased his first sewing machine in 2016. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion and artistic outlet, earning him the nickname "Natural Born Quilter" from his sister. Bold, bright colors, intricate fussy cutting, foundation paper piecing, and a fusion of modern and classic elements characterize Brett's work.

Since launching his quilting journey, Brett has pattern-tested for international designers, attended Quilt Market, and debuted his first fabric collection, "Stag and Thistle," in 2019, followed by "Prairie Meadow" in 2021. As a certified Sew Kind of Wonderful Instructor, he teaches EQ8 quilt design, fussy cutting, and curved piecing.

When he's not quilting, Brett enjoys gardening, exploring nature, running, and spending time with his family in Edmonton, Alberta. His work inspires quilters who love vibrant, nature-driven, and dynamic designs.
