Deborah Edwards

With a lifelong love of textiles, color, and design, Deborah Edwards has built an impressive career in fabric, home décor, and surface design. Growing up with parents in the fashion industry, she was immersed in textiles from an early age, often hunting for vintage fabrics and lace in flea markets without realizing that this passion would shape her future.

After earning a degree in textile design from the Ontario College of Art and Design, Deborah spent over two decades as VP of Design for an international company, creating fabric, bedding, wallcoverings, and area rugs. Her talent led her to design collections for high-profile names like Martha Stewart and Jaclyn Smith, and she has played a key role in color forecasting and industry trends as a member and chairholder of the Color Marketing Group.

Seeking new creative challenges, Deborah joined Northcott Fabrics as Design Director, where she continues to develop sophisticated, artistic fabric collections that inspire quilters and makers worldwide. Her work reflects a timeless appreciation for texture, pattern, and color, making her one of the most respected designers in the industry.
