Meet Designer Emily Taylor
Emily Taylor is a self-taught artist, fabric designer, quilter, pattern designer, and creative entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in the home décor and quilting industries. Known for her artistic eye and love of color, Emily has designed over a dozen fabric collections for Riley Blake Designs and has become especially recognized for her beautiful collage quilt patterns.
Emily’s creative background includes award-winning mural work, appearances on QVC, and the development of PatternJam.com, a free quilt design website created to help quilters explore layouts, color, and design possibilities. Her work blends art and quilting in a way that feels fresh, expressive, and approachable.
For Emily, collage quilting is the perfect combination of creativity, fabric, and storytelling. She teaches workshops, sells her unique patterns worldwide, and is the author of Collage Quilter: Essentials for Success with Collage Quilts.
When she is not creating in her studio overlooking the Wasatch Mountains, Emily enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and hiking with her husband and three children near their home in Sandy, Utah.
